Designing Spaceflight Instruments

We have led mechanical engineering design and/or operation of various space instruments. We were part of the team upgrading the International Space Station communications system to a high definition version. We also have experience in designing scientific instruments and integrating them onto a spacecraft. Lastly, we also have tested space instruments on the ground before flight and then operated them while at the Moon.

Leading a Scientific Study

The Mars Sample Return Mission has the obligation to ensure no adverse effects to Earth’s biosphere occur due to bringing martian samples to Earth. In this study, we gathered an expert team from government and academia to review the design and assess it for biosafety, microbiology standards, and the use of UV to disinfect.

Leading a Science Communications Team

We have expertise in leading teams to communicate science to the public, students, and the scientific community. In this portfolio, we led executive communications, graphic arts, digital media (social and web), and Spanish communications. We also led the record-breaking live stream of the 2017 Total Solar Eclipse Across America.
